Nutella Banana Wrap

As the name suggests, Nutella Banana wrap is nothing but a banana wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla smeared with Nutella.  Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread.

I tasted Nutella about 10 years back in France. Delicate crepes smeared with Nutella and filled with strawberries and bananas were a treat to relish on the cold October nights in Paris. After this, I completely forgot about Nutella and never really used it for many years. Almost a year back I saw this recipe in the Parents Canada magazine and decided to try it out. I used whole wheat tortillas and made this wrap as an after school snack for the kids and of course it was a huge hit. It will make a great lunch box item too but I cant use Nutella in my kids lunch box as the schools here are nut free.So here is the recipe for these delicious wraps.

Ingredients
  • 1 whole wheat wrap
  • 1 banana
  • Nutella
Method
  •  Heat the tortilla in the microwave for 10 seconds. You can skip this step if the tortilla is at room temperature.
  • Spread Nutella on the tortilla.
  •  Put the whole banana on one side of the tortilla
  • Roll the tortilla tightly around the banana.
  •  Cut the roll into slices and serve.
